📖 About the Tanzania Premier League

The Tanzanian Premier League (Ligi Kuu Bara) has been played since 1965. It has long been dominated by the two Dar es Salaam giants, Young Africans (Yanga) and Simba SC: Simba won four titles in a row up to 2020/21, before Yanga took the next four. Their rivalry — the "Kariakoo Derby" — is one of East Africa's most-attended football matches.
