Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara has called on Spurs to pursue Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford in the upcoming transfer window. O'Hara believes Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi represents the ideal fit to unlock Rashford's full potential at a new club. The England international has struggled with consistency at Old Trafford this season, managing just four Premier League goals in 19 appearances, a significant decline from his previous form when he netted 30 goals across all competitions in 2022-23.

Rashford has been a Manchester United player since their academy system and has made 387 appearances for the club across all competitions since his debut in 2016. However, his recent output has prompted speculation about his future amid the club's disappointing campaign. De Zerbi's tactical approach at Brighton, where he has transformed the Seagulls into genuine title contenders with a possession-based, attacking system, could provide the creative platform Rashford needs. Brighton finished sixth last season with 55 Premier League points, showcasing De Zerbi's ability to develop attacking talent effectively.

Any move for Rashford would represent a significant challenge for Tottenham's financial resources, as Manchester United would demand a substantial transfer fee for their homegrown asset. Spurs are currently competing in the Premier League alongside traditional rivals and have made strategic investments under manager Ange Postecoglou. The 26-year-old forward would add proven experience to Tottenham's attacking ranks, where they have scored 41 Premier League goals this season. Such a transfer would require both clubs to negotiate terms, with United unlikely to facilitate a deal to a direct domestic rival without significant compensation.
