India under-19 sealed a commanding 3-0 series whitewash against Australia under-19 thanks to a magnificent unbeaten 110 by opener Vaibhav Raichandani in the final fixture. Chasing a competitive target on a true batting surface, the stylish right-hander anchored the innings with immense maturity, showcasing the rich depth of young talent currently developing through the Board of Control for Cricket in India's robust domestic age-group pathways. Raichandani paced his knock brilliantly, finding the boundary with regularity while rotating the strike effectively against a disciplined Australian bowling attack that had troubled the hosts during the early powerplay overs of the match.
Earlier in the contest, disciplined bowling performances from pace bowler Mohit Ulva and spinner Manal Chauhan dismantled the visiting batting lineup, restricting Australia to a total of 254 before they could fully capitalize on a promising start. Both bowlers claimed three wickets apiece, exploiting subtle variations in pace and bounce on a pitch that offered assistance to skillful operators throughout the afternoon session. This comprehensive victory follows India's dominant performances in the opening two matches of the bilateral series, further underlining their tactical superiority and exceptional bench strength in youth-level international cricket ahead of the upcoming ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup cycle.
The emphatic clean sweep provides the national selection committee with plenty of positive selection dilemmas as the squad prepares for upcoming international assignments and global tournaments. Several standout performers from this series are widely expected to transition smoothly into first-class cricket within their respective domestic state structures over the coming months. Coaching staff will now focus on conditioning camps and tactical refinements to maintain this winning momentum, ensuring that the next generation of Indian cricket stars remains fully prepared for the rigorous physical and mental demands of senior professional competition.
